Tara Hill is the spiritual capital of Ireland and is a major cultural and historical monument beloved by people all over the world.

Tara was a center of civilization seven thousand years ago. When you consider that the oldest Egyptian tomb is 5,000 years old, the magnitude of Tara’s historical significance can be understood.

In April, 2009 at Tara Hill, scientists unearthed a wooden monument of the size and magnitude of Stonehenge.

Tara Hill was the seat of the pre-Celtic civilization of the Tuatha de Danann. Millions of people in Ireland and in fact, all over the world, consider themselves descendents of the Tuatha de Danann, or “Children of the Goddess Danu.” Danu is the goddess of the Earth and after whom the river Danube was named, among other cultural significances.

Modern legend as told in Elven World: Restoration of the Tuatha De Danann Kingdom recently published by Rembrandt Press, continues the story that began in ancient legends about Tara Hill as the sacred dwelling place of the gods and the entrance to an Otherworld of the Faery and the Elven kingdom.

Many thousands from across the globe protest the construction of a new motorway through the Tara valley, which has placed this sacred place among the 100 most endangered heritage sites of the world.

www.TaraWatch.org has nominated the Tara to be a World Heritage Site, but can only do so on the condition that the M3 Motorway is re-routed because the destruction of the cultural heritage due to the motorway breaches the World Heritage Convention Otherwise, the Tara Hill complex qualifies for World Heritage Status as a natural and cultural landscape of universal value due to its cultural significance and extent of surviving remains.

If we can have the site designated as a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) World Heritage Status site, then changes would have to be made to re-route of the motorway which runs close to Tara Hill.

The vast majority of the Irish (70%) want the motorway to be re-routed away from the Hill. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights calls for governments to represent the people’s wishes

The Tree that Bent Down to Kiss the Children

In the park in my city there is an old oak tree that grows downward, instead of up to the sun.

Perhaps you have a tree like this in your town.

In the park in my city there is an old oak tree that grows downward, instead of up to the sun.

Like a grandmother picking up children to place them on her knees, the heavy limbs of that tree’s bark is worn smooth by children who climb her day after day year after year.

She whispered softly that she’d grown downward to make it easy for the children.

Every limb is just the right size to sit or lay or put your arms around. She bends gracefully in a way that any child can rest or stretch or hold her in an embrace.

You can stay there unafraid, wrapped peacefully in her arms. And no matter what’s troubling you, she will dry your tears.

Full up to overflowing is my admiration for this tree who is so in love she’s bending down to kiss the children

Elven Time Travel

The fact can lay here, viewing some 10,000 separate colors at one time (or more) in the leaves of a single tree, while evening light makes shapes in shadows. That I can feel the floor beneath me and drink in the richness of today’s blue sky. Yes, I believe I am staying in this time and place by choice.

In the modern world it was Einstein, with his theory of relativity, who popularized Time Travel in the magazines and on TV, opening the doors so long closed, to its “real possibility” and igniting our imaginations.

Ancient worlds may have had the techniques and technology of time travel long ago, but few records of that exists except in collective memory mainly relegated to legend and mythstill too fantastic to be real.

Perhaps it is just plain comfortable to consider the third dimension to be the “real” world and relegate Time Travel to the subject of “science fiction.” Comfortable is good. Comfortable like sitting in a soft armchair petting your cat instead of flying a rocket ship chased by energy gripping enemies. Yes, comfortable is good.

Yet, it’s a fresh, new world of possibilities when we contemplate “string theory” or the “theory of everything” advanced mathematicians study. In these mathematical languages we exist in but one of eleven or twelve dimensions.

Again, science touches the divine. We are all waiting for the complete embrace.

If Time exists only because of our consideration of it, then we are able to move through time at will. What we consider to be “real” is real. If we all were in 11 different dimensions at once…. Well, I imagine this could make conversation kind of complex causing a need for inter-dimensional translators and whatnot. Because, of course, we are only communicating now because you and I both believe in the “reality” that matches the significances of each word I type. 😉

It is as if we walk through a web of infinite potentialities that come in to being as they are chosen, only for the moments they are chosen to exist as reality. Which of course means that there is all time and no time at all times! And there is a constant choice, conscious or unconscious, to remain in this time.

As for me i am contemplating my conscious choice with a great deal of admiration.

Our Earth is a blessed place. We are Elven: beings of light and color, sound and vibration, song beyond words that matches the rhythm of the sun.
